“Be careful which path you travel down Strange, stronger men then you have lost their way.”

One of our most anticipated films in 2016 is absolutely, hands down, the beginning of Marvel’s foray into the multiverse, “Doctor Strange.”  This weekend at San Diego Comic Con, fans at the Hall H panel for the film got their first look at a new trailer and a new poster.  We LOVED the first poster and the new poster and trailer look sensational.

“Cumberbatch is set to star as Dr. Stephen Strange alongside Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. Strange is a brilliant but egotistical surgeon who travels the world to restore his skills after a car accident leaves him unable to operate. In his travels, he meets the Ancient One, who teaches Strange the ways of magic in order to protect the Earth from a host of mystical foes.”

Check out the new trailer as “Doctor Strange” gets metaphysical and things get weird in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Here is what “Doctor Strange” director, Scott Derrickson had to say in an interview with ComicBook.com while they were at San Diego Comic Con.

“I think that the short answer is this is the movie where Marvel goes full weird,” Derrickson says. “That full weirdness is written in the Ditko images, the Jack Kirby images, the early Doctor Strange comic book panels that are still to this day so mind blowing.”

“What the comics did was, they brought with Doctor Strange an extra dimension into psychadelia, mysticism, and spirituality and all these very 60’s things and broke open the Marvel comic book universe into the Marvel multiverse,” the director adds. “I think Doctor Strange is going to be the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. It’s really serving the same function that the comic did. Even though it was a weird aberration as a comic book, I think it was a real linchpin in the comics. It ended up being decades of new stories and I think this movie will do the same thing.”

Personally, we don’t know about you but we totally geeked out when he put his cape on using his powers.  Get ready for one hell of a mind trip when Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” conjures its way into theaters on November 4th, 2016
